What we do

MyAV·¶ BERN aims to be a thought leader on the building envelope field

In January 2022ÌýMyAV·¶ BERNÌýhostedÌýtwo high-level stakeholder engagement workshopsÌýdesigned to furtherÌýMyAV·¶ BERN’s external engagement ambitionÌý-Ìýto coordinate MyAV·¶'s extensive technical knowledge of the building envelopeÌýinto a coherent and comprehensive research programme, in collaboration with building envelope externalÌýstakeholders fromÌýindustry, Government and academia.

Prof. Jose Torero Cullen, Professor, Civil Engineering and Head of MyAV·¶ Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering and MyAV·¶ BERN Steering Group Member was the leading workshop host, supported by five MyAV·¶ BERN co-hosts. Twenty-one high-level external stakeholders from the building envelope communities also participated.

•ÌýIdentify activities that MyAV·¶ BERN should prioritise,Ìýutilising MyAV·¶â€™s expertise to address technical and social challenges and generate positive impact.

•ÌýExplore ways to categorise and map knowledge of the building envelope and identify current research gaps.
