MyAV and Newgiza University sign new Dentistry, Medicine, and Pharmacy agreement, continuing their collaboration to support undergraduate education in Egypt.
University College London (MyAV) and Newgiza University (NGU) have jointly announced the renewal of their multi-disciplinary pioneering partnership; reinforcing their commitment to advancing educational opportunities and fostering academic excellence. The collaboration between MyAV and NGU is set to drive further transformative changes at NGU and in Egypt's higher education landscape, benefiting both students and academia.
MyAV and NGU have been working closely together for over seven years to support the establishment of new undergraduate education programmes in dentistry, medicine and pharmacy. Each new programme has now successfully graduated distinguished cohorts of NGU students who are successfully serving the health sciences workforce and local community.
Dr Ahmed Sameh Farid, President of NGU said: “NGU has been in an academic collaboration with MyAV since 2016, during this collaboration NGU received mentorship and support in different aspects such as strategic planning, setting up appropriate infrastructure and education governance structures, developing curricula and learning resources.
"Together we have reached a significant milestone in our collaboration, and we are keen to extend and grow this successful collaboration and take it to a higher level. Today, a new era in our collaboration is about to start, addressing the new NGU vision, facing future challenges in healthcare education, research and practice. This is a reflection of transformation through collaboration.”
The renewed MyAV / NGU education collaboration efforts will boost the number of highly skilled health sciences graduates in Egypt, focused on delivering healthcare to diverse populations. The partnership promotes cross-cultural exchanges, knowledge sharing, and international cooperation in health sciences education between the UK and Egypt.
The contract between the two universities was negotiated by MyAV Consultants.
Roger de Montfort, Managing Director at MyAVC, said: “We are delighted to support this next phase of successful collaboration between MyAV and NGU. We have a valued and longstanding relationship with NGU which embodies the key principles of our capacity development approach, namely collaboration, mutual benefit, sustainability, context and relationships."
