Planning your visit
Entry to the museum is free.
Tuesday-Friday 1pm-5pm
Saturday 11am-5pm
To protect our visitors and staff we advise mask wearing in our museums unless you are exempt. This includes in the Grant Museum of Zoology and other MyAV·¶ museums. Please continue to wear a face covering if you can.
Booking is not required. We are operating a reduced capacity in the museum. If it is full, you will be asked to queue outside as we do not have space to wait indoors. We will admit you as quickly as possible, but you may expect to queue for up to 30 minutes on Saturdays. You are unlikely to have to wait for more than 5-10 minutes on a weekday.
We are open for research visits on weekday mornings 10am - 1pm, when advanced booking is required. Please contact museums@ucl.ac.uk to arrange this. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are not currenty able to accommodate schools and other large group bookings.
The museum welcomes family visitors warmly. Children, however young, as well as adults get a great deal out of their visits but please note that children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Access to the museum, and all public areas within it, is step-free. There is a shallow ramp leading up to the main entrance from the street. Toilets and baby change facilities are available.
