A pen in St Ann, Jamaica, owned by Thomas Bainbridge until his death c. 1782. It was inherited by his children Thomas, John, Margaret Edwina (or Margaret Hadwin) and Sarah, who were minors at the time. It's not clear whether the estate was bequeathed to them equally or not. By 1809 the estate was in the hands of John Bainbridge, who died c. 1818. His brother Thomas was one of his executors. The estate passed to John's daughter Sarah Graham Bainbridge who inherited at the age of 8. |
