Watch the Olympics on a big screen in the MyAV·¶ front Quad

Between the 27 July and 10 August, the Olympics will be shown on a big screen in the MyAV·¶ front Quad.

Coverage began on Friday 27 July showing Danny Boyle's much anticipated opening ceremony. Andrew Grainger (MyAV·¶ Estates) tweeted: "There must be at least 2,000 people having fun in MyAV·¶ Quad watching the opening ceremony. Amazing atmosphere!"

The Games are being broadcast on a 4mx3m big screen from Monday to Friday, and during the weekend of the 4 and 5 of August.

Coverage begins at 10am and will continue through until 10pm each day. Refreshments will be available throughout the day and a bar will open from 5pm until 10pm.

Staff, students and visitors alike are encouraged to delay their journey home for an hour or two and invite family and friends to come and experience the Olympic atmosphere.

MyAV·¶ will also have other attractions and events taking place around campus this summer and the MyAV·¶ museums will remain open to visitors, information on MyAV·¶'s museums and events can be found at the links below.

Alexandria Hingley, Sports Coordinator at MyAV·¶ Union, commented: "MyAV·¶ are providing the public with a fantastic opportunity to get involved and experience the greatest show on earth this summer, with their outdoor screening of Olympic events in the main quad. The screen is a great way to get inspired by the Games this summer and for everyone to support their teams to glory!"
