MyAV范 was the home of many celebrated philosophers, including AJ Ayer and Richard Wolheim. Today, we have one of the UK's largest university philosophy departments.

Our world-leading research spans many areas. In the 2021 REF, 60% of our overall profile received the top grade (4*), the highest of any UK philosophy department.聽
