Organisational travel is the 3rd largest source of carbon emissions for the university. In 2019 organisational travel accounted for approximately 11% of MyAV范鈥檚 total carbon emissions.

Connectivity is a key part of academic endeavour, whether for meetings with global partners, undertaking field research or speaking at conferences. However, achieving this connectivity by physically travelling has a significant impact on the climate.

What is MyAV范 doing?聽

Creating聽a campus where active travel is easy and encouraged;
New travel provider (Clarity Travel) contract that calculates聽the carbon footprint of your travel;
Travel Expense Policy for travel spend encouraging low-carbon travel;
Improving opportunities to work with international partners without the need to travel.
