We are delighted to announce the successful PhD examination of our student Eva Renon, with very minor corrections.ÌýThe examinersÌýpraised the originality and ambition of the thesis, as well as theÌýwealth of the data collected throughÌý133 personal interviews of business leaders, lobbyists and government officials in Argentina, Brazil and Colombia. The thesis' framework provides has the potential to supportÌýfurther research on Sub-Saharan African countries.ÌýThe thesis overall improves our understanding of the conflicts within the businessÌýcommunity and how firms contribute to policymaking.

The title of Eva's thesisÌýisÌý'Bringing the Firm Back in theÌýAnalysis:ÌýState-Business Relations in LatinÌýAmerica and their Impact on Policies’. EvaÌýworked under the supervision ofÌýDrÌýNéstor CastañedaÌý²¹²Ô»å Professor Paulo Drinot. Congratulations are in order!
