Description
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence recommended treatment for a range of common mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety and eating disorders and can be delivered by a range of professionals, such as psychologists, nurses and therapists. This module uses experiential, workshop-based learning techniques including simulations, practical demonstrations and videos to aid students to develop a critical understanding of the history and development of CBT, the application of the model to the conceptualisation of psychological illnesses and basic practical skills in the delivery of the intervention.
