This Module is restricted to students on the National Award in Sen Co-ordination PG Cert. Students will need to be currently working in an educational setting and will need Head Teacher consent to be able to collect data to inform the research for the assignment.

Description

This module will:

  • address leading and co-ordinating Special Education Needs (SEN) provision within schools, specifically 'The principles and practice of leadership in different contexts'
  • reflect upon the SEN Co-ordinator (SENCo) role in working with pupils, colleagues, parents/carers and other agencies
  • develop theoretical understanding of management of change and how to apply this to practice.
