Bicycles meet biology in the evolutionary stakes
23 September 2005
It would appear that bicycles and biology have more in common than first meets the eye: MyAV·¶ researchers have shown they evolve in a similar way.
In a paper presented at the 'Pattern and Process in Cultural Evolution' conference at MyAV·¶, Dr Mark Lake and Jay Venti of the Centre for the Evolutionary Analysis of Cultural Behaviour have shown parallels can be drawn between the evolution of life on Earth and the development of bike design.
