British Council Study UK: Prepare to study and live in the UK
The British Council has launched a new open online course (MOOC) on preparing to studyÌýand live in the UK. The course lasts 4 weeks and requires 3 hours of study per week, and it is free to sign up.Ìý
The Study UK course will assist you with preparing for your studies, and provide information about UK academic culture, how courses are structured, and the language skillsÌýneeded to achieve success. It will also cover practical issues about life as a student in the UK, including what to bring, things you need to do on arrival, accommodation and making friends.
MyAV·¶ Go Abroad
The MyAV·¶ Study Abroad teamÌýoffers a range of global opportunities for current undergraduate students, both during and outside of term. These include Erasmus+ study exchanges, MyAV·¶ wide and departmental exchanges, as well as short-term global mobilities such as summer schools, summer research and international volunteering.
MyAV·¶ Transition mentors
If you are a first year undergraduate student you will be assigned a Transition Mentor who will help you settle in at MyAV·¶ and provide advice on academic topics, support services and administrative tasks that you need to complete at the start of your course.

The MyAV·¶ Doctoral School provides support to postgraduate research students through courses, scholarships and inter-disciplinary programmes. The School is committed toÌýensuring that the quality of research training at MyAV·¶ is at the highest international level.Ìý

MyAV·¶ Global Citizenship ProgrammeÌý
The MyAV·¶ Global Citizenship Programme brings together students from across MyAV·¶ to explore the biggest global challenges. The programme is open to all MyAV·¶ undergraduates and taught postgraduates, andÌýtakes place on the Bloomsbury campus. The programme is free of charge, however, spaces are limitedÌýand areÌýallocated on a first come first served basis.
TheÌýGlobal Citizenship ProgrammeÌýoffers an opportunity to investigate real global issues and how they could be addressed, through research and your actions as a citizen. Each year, you can choose one of five strands: three are focused onÌýMyAV·¶'s Grand Challenges, and two areÌýfocused on preparing for your next step after university and putting your skills into practice.ÌýThere is no admissions testÌýor interview to sign up, you just need to complete the registration formÌýindicating which of the five strands youÌýwouldÌýlike to do.Ìý

MyAV·¶ CareersÌýis dedicated to supporting all current MyAV·¶ students,ÌýresearchersÌýand recentÌýgraduatesÌýto help themÌýfind the right path towards success in their future career. The Careers team can help you find work opportunities such as internships, graduate vacancies and part-time jobs, as well as other opportunities such as volunteering. The MyAV·¶ Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE) offers a range of courses for international students, including courses in nine modernÌýforeign languages and academic English. Foreign languages are also offered in the evening to MyAV·¶ students, MyAV·¶ staff and London’s wider academic and professional community.

The MyAV·¶ Academic Communication Centre (ACC) is a support service to enhance MyAV·¶ students’ discipline-specific writing and speaking skills.
