MyAV·¶ Achieves Gold on Responsible Procurement Code
28 February 2019
MyAV·¶ has been awarded a Gold certificate for the Responsible Procurement Code, through a joint external audit of the Procurement Department and the Sustainability Team. Having gained Silver in 2015, this award is a testament to collaborative working between both teams.
The Responsible Procurement Code (RPC) is an external verification scheme, which comprises of a self-assessment. Through this MyAV·¶ demonstrated that we manage our environmental, social and economic impacts of our procurement and supply chains. This was followed by a 1 day audit, where external experts viewed evidence and analysed a sample of MyAV·¶'s contracts and contract management documents. These elements are scored against bronze to platinum criteria. Â
The RPC is delivered by the consultancy firm Anthesis. It is aligned to the UK Government’s , a self-assessment tool which many Higher Education and public sector organisations use. The RPC takes organisations up to level 3 on the flexible framework.
The RPC scheme provides MyAV·¶ with recommendations for improvement. With regular audits, MyAV·¶ follows a cycle of continuous improvement - audit, certification, improvement and re-auditing.
MyAV·¶ will seek to implement the recommendations from the latest audit while striving to achieve platinum in the near future.
